Lovefordgalaxie Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 The car is a Monogram '57 Chevy in 1:12 scale. Inspired by some old pictures of cars during the 70's, I added a period licence plate to the car, and used the photoshop to mess with the color balance to emulate the pictures I found. Hope you like it. GTJUNIOR Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Wow Tulio. That paint is perfect, as is the execution of the model. Nice to see you building a Chevy for a change. You do some seriously incredible work Tulio. Always a pleasure to view your builds.
wayne swayze Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Really nice driver Tulio. As usual, well done!
Harry P. Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Beautiful work. Love the dealer tag on the trunk!
rmvw guy Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Nice job as always Tulio. I was going to mention the neat dealer tag on the rear but, guess who beat me to it? Have to agree with Harry. I might mention the cool reflection of a giant hand showing the degree of shine on the beautiful finish.
Fanof69 Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Yet another beautiful build Tulio!! Beautiful work. Love the dealer tag on the trunk! Funny I work in the auto repair business in Columbus and we deal with Hugh White on a regular basis.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 Thank you guys!!Call me crazy, but I would buy in a heartbeat a photo-etch set dealer tags, for all scales. All my 1:1 cars have them. Most new cars back in the day had some sort of dealer ID, a badge or even a window sticker. Friend of mine has a 1:1 1957 Bel Air, a four door hardtop in black, and is from that car that I copied the dealer tag. It's unusual a car to have a foreign dealer tag, but his Chevy came into the country in 1960 with his first owner, that was moving here from the U.S. Also know a 1955 Chev with a "Curry Chevrolet" badge on the rear.
Crazy Ed Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Another in a string of Excellent Builds Tulio, and your Paint always comes out like Colored Mercury.
Volksfan Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Beautiful Chevy Túlio! I love your dash detailing right down to the dice.
charlie8575 Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Interesting exercise in creativity. I like it.Charlie Larkin
