bogger44 Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 "Bought it on Friday, finished it on Sunday." About the same amount of time it takes me to feel comfortable enough to glue together the engine halves without screwing up a sequence. That is an awesome Hudson! Really like the new roof.Lol same here.Very cool Hudson, Chuck. Love that slammed stance and the blown 6.
Mr.Zombie Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Two words about the paint please? Salt? I particularly like the roof and the effect on the fenders.
MGL Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 This is cool, I didn't even notice the grill until I read your comments. How about some close ups?
Chuck Most Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 Looks like something that was parked outside for a long time before you got your hands on it. Great weathering, very believable. I would like to do an engine like this on a Hudson build, where did you get the head and the blower setup ?Yep- salt method, with a little brush "dabbing" here and there.Engine is from the kit with a modified intake and a parts-box blower. I don't remember where I got the pulleys-they're turned aluminum. This head was scratchbuilt, but you can get one from Morgan Automotive Detail now. Thanks guys!
Hubert Rollins Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 That's a really cool build. And congrats on such a quick, quality build. I don't think I could build an unpainted snap kit in that amount of time.
