evilone Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 heres a lowrider i forgot about till plumer's 60 chevy reminded me of the engine swap i did enjoy it hade a high performance 427 corvette engine but i took the engine from a AMT 60 chevy fleetside and replaced it in these classics its straight 6 or nothing
dub Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 You did a good job on this piece! I have to agree on the straight 6. Lowriders don't need 400hp. The only thing that I might do to improve it at all would be just a quick shot of dullcote on the bottom. Definitely don't need to do it though. You can't see the bottom when its sitting on the shelf, right? Oh, good pics too. Keep that up. It helps us see your work better to appreciate what you put into it.
evilone Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 (edited) i was actually thinking on adding inner fenders and more engine details and white walls (thin of course)as well as interior details but i dont know yet if i will thanks for your idea though Edited April 10, 2008 by evilone
Raul_Perez Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Kevin, First I want to thank and applaud you for the 100x improvement in the clarity of your pictures and your text. Second, I really like the "back-to-stock" mods you made on the Chevy! Third, I really like the color choices and the very suttle difference in color between the body and the fenders! Good job, young man, good job!!
Simon Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 That's so subtle, I hardly even looked at it to begin with. Then I gradually realised how clean and well-detailed it is - a lovely build and the colour choice is
j_nigrelli Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 nice; any chance of sticking a 'swamp cooler' in that passenger window?
Dag Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 (edited) Nice one the Pachukas would be proud. I sure do like the bombs. I agree on the swamp cooler. THere are alot of cool accessories one could put on a model like that. A stop light viewer on the dash would be cool too. Edited April 10, 2008 by Dag
evilone Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 true true there is alot of cool things to put on this thanks for the positive feedback bros and im really thinking on putting this bad boy back on the workbench
Harold Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Nice looking Chevy. I like the stance and color combo. Like the 6, also. Good work.
FordRodnKustom Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Nice job on the engine swap and detail. Your color choice works well too. I like the idea of thin ww's. That would make the overall package really pop.
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Kevin that's a good lookin model you got. One even I would be proud to display. Keep up the good work. I agree it needs white walls, but then I put whites on everything lol.

carrucha Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Nice lowrider bomb. I like the color combo. I also used the AMT 1960 Chevy pickup inline six when I built my '39 Chevy lowrider bomb 4-door sedan. Lowrider Chevy bombs only look good with inline six engines. Too bad the kit doesn't include a stock hood. If you want a stock hood, you need to take the one out of the sedan delivery kit.
