Question about the Polar Lights Herbie Scale

I have a couple of these Herbies that I got way back when. I finally opened one of them and was struck by how big it looks. Is it 1/24th scale or could it be a bit larger? It just seems big compared to one of the old Revell V/Ws. Anyone know?

It's 1/24. The old Revell bug from the '70s was 1/25. 

I've been tinkering with the Spiderman version I have of the Herbie kit and it's the same size as the new tool 1/24 Revell bug that came out a couple years ago.
