62rebel Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Ford gave SOMEBODY a contract to release Pinto toy cars with working suspension and steering; wondering if anyone had a picture or knew what company did them? They were TOUGH plastic, not blow-molded stuff, and fairly detailed but no opening hoods or doors.
Mark Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 You might be thinking of those little ones that were molded in light blue or avocado gold. Eldon made those, and they were 1/29 (?) scale. They had poseable steering but not working suspension. Neither had interior detail, the windows were tinted very dark. The gold ones had a battery-operated electric motor, the blue ones did not. They were styrene plastic. I had both of those back in the day, and might have a body from one laying around here somewhere.
62rebel Posted May 7, 2016 Author Posted May 7, 2016 You're probably right about the suspension, and I do recall the one I had was blue. It didn't last long, I probably traded it away as I wasn't into cars at that time, more GI Joe than anything else
oldcarfan Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 I almost bought one of these on eBay a while back thinking it was 1/25th. Glad now I backed out.
