Darren B Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) I started this one years ago but never got past the frame, then my local model car club announced the quarterly contest in august is motorcycles and I was like, I have a bike to build. Decided to have a theme for this one as I do for all my builds and its mans ruin with all kinds of gambling stuff, playing cards, a wne bottle for an oil canistyer, and on and on and on. Will post updates as I have time for. Edited July 19, 2016 by Darren B

Darren B Posted June 2, 2016 Author Posted June 2, 2016 decided to open up the sprocket for more realism and add a doo dad to the axle area.....
Jantrix Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Mans ruin? You mean a woman with a credit card?Looking good so far.
Darren B Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 (edited) using this for the oil can, was going to use a wine bottle for a doll house accessory but figured this would be more manly for a chopper. Just had to cut it to make if fit over the chain guard.... Edited June 6, 2016 by Darren B
Nacho Z Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Lots of nice detailing going on here. I just finished an out-of-box build of one of these kits, so I know how much work you have done on this. Keep on posting updates. I'll be following!

Darren B Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 just a quick mock up to make sure the keg will fit with the pipes which are an extra set as the ones going on the bike are being worked on to get rid of mold lines, open up the exhaust holes more and filling in the backs of the pipes where the factory saves plastic. But a good fit non the less....
Darren B Posted June 13, 2016 Author Posted June 13, 2016 air cleaner, what is not pictured is the carb that i found in my parts box of old train stuff that will be under the air cleaner.
Darren B Posted June 13, 2016 Author Posted June 13, 2016 A while back i messed up the mounting tab that held the seat on the bike I had the seat in the frame as a mock up then when I was adding super glue to hide a joint seam some of that glue got into the tab and had glued the seat to the frame. When I removed the seat of course i broke off that tab, so now i am fabricating a mounting system with springs for the seat....
Darren B Posted June 13, 2016 Author Posted June 13, 2016 More to come soon, I only have till the 7th of august to have this finished as that is the meeting day and date of the contest. I am pushing my self to have all of the fabrication done by july 1st and get into paint right after that date. I am pushing my self to have it done by that date as I usually take up to two years to finish a build this will be a challenge to be in the club meeting with the finished project.
Darren B Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 Trying my hand at emulating engraving, may or may not put on belt cover....
Darren B Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 I have decided the color of this build. It should go good with all the accessories that I have picked for the build...
Darren B Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 (edited) Not much of an update with 49 days to go but got the main decal on the gas tank.... Edited June 20, 2016 by Darren B
Darren B Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 and got the seat suspension done, now to install on the bike...
Darren B Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 A little surprise for under the tank, I have seen this done before on a certain chopper that was built not to long ago called the peep show, on the bottom of the tank was some images that were not PC correct for the top of the tank so decided to do this one on this chopper but not tell anyone at the contest, just sit back and see if they look that closely at the build!!!
