What Nova kit for Flintstone Ventura?

Hi, I'm new here; I want to build a 1972 Pontiac Ventura II to replicate my buddy's 1:1 car.  The Jimmy Flintstone resin body is available; I need to know if the AMT Beverly Hills Cop Nova #836 will work for a donor car.  Flintstone suggests the AMT 6556 Nova, which is getting hard to find and is pricey.  Thanks, Dave
