Aggie Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 This is one of only four non-American car. This is the Tamiya kit.the car turned out just as I hoped except the hood. This kit come with a clear hood and when I taped off the part of the hood I didn't want painted. Then when spraying the clear coat, it soaked through the tape and distorted the clear hood. Oh well, know what not to do now.
Aggie Posted June 27, 2016 Author Posted June 27, 2016 Thank you. Wanted to do something bold so had the graphics cut out of vinyl on the wife's paper craft machine.
花火 Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 can't quite feel this paint scheme, but you've done a good job!
Rider Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Looks pretty good from here. Too bad about the hood, clear plastic and lacquer never mix well.

I was really stoked as I have been wanting to build one with a portion of the hood clear. So you could imagine my disappointment when pulling off the tape.
Aggie Posted July 1, 2016 Author Posted July 1, 2016 What an unusual paint job! Great workThank you. Wanted something that kinda slaps you in the face.
