JerseeJerry55 Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Okay the Pete 359 almost completed. Revell KW900 snap will be next. Have decided the frame and fuel tanks will be Testors Dark Gloss Red. Unsure about the cab and hood. Maybe a medium or dark blue? Would appreciate others input on color choice. ThanksJerseeJerry55
Petetrucker07 Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 I think blue may be to big a contrast. I say go with a charcoal grey. This should come out nice, like your Pete.
JerseeJerry55 Posted July 24, 2016 Author Posted July 24, 2016 Does Tamiya make a charcoal grey in lacquer?
Petetrucker07 Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 (edited) I'm not sure about Tamiya, in lacquer. I know Testors has a Graphite Grey in the One Coat Lacquer. I think I posted it in your Pete thread, my long grey and copper Pete is all Testors One Coat.l, Fiery Orange and Graphite Grey.Does Tamiya make a charcoal grey in lacquer? Petetrucker07 Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 That would work too. Or silver, maybe even a dark purple.
cowboy rich Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 If purple or silver is an option for you these two look pretty good from the can or air brush
JerseeJerry55 Posted July 25, 2016 Author Posted July 25, 2016 KW W900 has been ordered. Will finish the Pete this week. Have decided to paint the cab/hood air cleaners Testors One Coat Inca Gold and the frame/fuel tanks Testors Dark Red Enamel. Will most likely do the Sonny Pruitt KW decals. Might try some light weathering on this one. Also will look to detail the interior a bit as well.
