ChrisBcritter Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Very attractive build! Will you be using those cone-shaped wheelcovers when you build the custom one? Always liked their look.
Sport Suburban Posted August 2, 2016 Author Posted August 2, 2016 Very attractive build! Will you be using those cone-shaped wheelcovers when you build the custom one? Always liked their look. Most likely I won't. They were popular too as almost every one of these kits had them installed. Very hard to find the stock caps and both of my 60 Edsels had them on it so I have two sets. I like the modern big wheels and lowered stance of the pro touring cars. Right now I'm restoring a 60 El Camino kit but still deciding on keeping the stock wheels and white walls or doing it as a late 60's build with Cragers and white letter tires. At least with these old screw bottom chassis it is easy to switch out wheels.
