AMT 1957 Chrysler 300 kit tire size?

I'm working on build and am looking for the right sized tires.  I was told the AMT 1957 Chrysler 300 kit's tire's might be the right size I need. 

If anyone has an AMT 1957 Chrysler 300 kit, can you measure the outer diameter(height) of the tires for me in metric(millimeters)?

Michael, the O.D. of the tires in the '57 300C kit I have, (the stock one with the Coral colored car on the box), is 29mm. Good luck on your project, hope this helps!

Mike, I'm getting approximately 29mm for those tires. I used my dial calipers (the old fashioned kind), and then measured the points on a MM scale.

This helps a lot.  I've been trying to find tires a bit closer to 30 mm but I might not find them.

Can someone post a picture of the tires from the AMT 1957 Chrysler 300 kit?

It looks like they have an insert that has to be painted.

I'll have to try and find a set.

Mike, they have a white plastic insert, no need to paint unless you prefer the look when they're painted.

Craig,  I'll have to paint part of the insert black.  I need thinner white stripes on the tires.

Hey, Mike, the I.D. of those tires is 15 mm. I happened to have a Jo-Han '60 DeSoto nearby, it seems that with a little minor finessing the Jo-Han wheels should fit right into the tires from the 300.
