Jon Haigwood Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Question for someone that has built the Lindberg 64 Dodge 330 (Ramcharger/Color Me Gone). Does the rear body panel have to be installed after the body is on the chassis ? Or can it be attached to the rear below the trunk lid and painted before assembly ?Thanks
Jon Haigwood Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 Thanks . After a closer look at the 1:1 car that panel will need to have the ends filled and sanded smooth any way. The 64 Plymouth body I am building has it attached and there doesn't seem to be any issues with assembly.
gtx6970 Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 (edited) Correct, on the 1/1 the seam is lead filled http://moparblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/1964-Dodge-Polara-rear.jpg Edited September 7, 2016 by gtx6970
Mr Stock Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I built my Color me gone kit a while ago now, but I made the mistake of NOT fitting it before paint.....I so wish I did as the rear panel had a major warp to it, still you learn from your mistakes .....
