Brutalform Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 This one has the MCW correct interior the lightweights had.
johnwitzke Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Very nice lightweight. I have the MCW lightweight interior too for my model of Dick Brannan's # 823. Also I have a pair of lightweight bucket seats for my 1962 Brannan light blue lightweight Galaxie #823
Brutalform Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 Thanks John....I know, I'm watching all of your threads.....
carman1 Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Very nice ! Believe it or not, another fella that used to race with us at 75-80 raced a 63 1/2 Galixie, his had a blue interior however !
bogger44 Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Loving your builds, Tom. Is that a resin hood? I have the MCW interior as well, but was thinking of taking the teardrop from the AMT 66 Galaxie and grafting it to the 63 hood. I'd like to go with a resin hood if possible, just haven't found one yet.

Actually I have a 63, and a 64 hood in my parts. Reason is, I'm not very happy the way this 63 turned out. First, I rushed the build, running out of BMF, and going over the side trim with a silver marker. (Ouch)! Then, the engine is a 427 SOHC from the Shelby kit. The engine looks ok I guess, but it sits a bit tilted, but the real problem is the plug wires. Not realizing when I added them, the boots should be more "flush" going in to the covers. Like a dummy, I have long boots like on conventional heads. I'll post a pic up today. Since I have another interior and kit, hood, etc, I'd figure I go another round at it not making my same mistakes. But if you check out online, I'm sure you can find the hood you want.
Brutalform Posted October 15, 2016 Author Posted October 15, 2016 Oh and the ridiculous looking headers also, I forgot to mention.
Brutalform Posted October 15, 2016 Author Posted October 15, 2016 Here are a few pics of the mistakes I made during this build.
