landman Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I've guessed at a few. Can anyone tell me what the numbered engines are? Modern V6? Chrysler turbine 331 or 392 Hemi ? Granted, there isn't much visible Packard straight 8 Thanks, muchly
Mike999 Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 #3 - with that square transmission, I'm guessing the Chrysler early Hemi came from the AMT '32 Ford Roadster kit.#5 - judging by its size relative to all the others, that may be a Chrysler straight-8 block from the MPC '32 Chrysler roadster/phaeton kit. The only Packard straight-8's I'm familiar with are from the Monogram kits. They are 1/24 scale and look REALLY big. I'm thinking of using one in a street rod and have been playing with that idea a little.
Mark Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 #2 looks like a Chrysler turbine engine.#3 (no plating) might be from an old Lindberg kit. Some of those are pretty straightforward cribs from AMT Trophy Series kits.#4 (front sump pan) looks like the OHC Ford engine from the Monogram T'rantula dragster.
