I wrote a book about the car talking about its creation in the first half then describing my build in the second half. It's available on Amazon. Definitely a bucket list item! Now I am building a 1/8th scale version of the car. Mark Gustavson asked me to give a short seminar at next year's GSL. Fantastic!!!
willys36@att.net Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 Recently found out that Mark pushed the GSL model show into 2023! Better be careful, a lot of us old-timers might not make it that far.
willys36@att.net Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 Don't see photos of the finished model on this thread. I may have posted them on another thread on this site? Don't remember due to my advanced Partsheimer's, Anyway here they are. 1
willys36@att.net Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 Sad to say 2023 will be the final GSL. I gave my presentation that was well received. I decided to enter the car in the contest and it won second place in Replica category. First place Replica winner was Randy Derr's '75 Sebring Corvette. It not only won best in class it won Modeler's Choice, Best Detail, Dave Shuklis Engineering, topped off with Best in Show!
willys36@att.net Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 Also, ToyMan did a little feature on the car at the GSL.
