Guest Gramps-xrds Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Some old junk and pastels and I quit. I know there's a few pics and I appologize but, if you're like me I really don't like sorting through someones photo account.
Tony T Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Bill-Love it! The motorcycle bits are a nice addition, as is the rusty body on the other side! Nice weathering, too...the pumps look great!! Nice job!
george 53 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I agree Bill, it looks great! Some of the weathering almost looks like art! It reminds me of those pictures where theres a bunch of mustangs or Camaros or Cudas just rustin away out in front.
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Thanks Tony,George. I'm pleased w/ how it came out and glad you guys like it. I forgot one very important thing though. THE OUTHOUSE. I'm thinking of maybe a small dio to attach to the side w/ it on it. I promise it won't stink too bad. lol
Mike Whatshisname Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 O yea Gramps! Nice job on the pastel work! An outhouse will be a great addition. Leave the door open and add a few magazines and a roll of TP.
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Mike what's TP. we didn't have any of that stuff. we used the Sears & Robuck catalog. lol

Mal.au Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 I am going to have to get into this diorama deal looks like great fun Nice work Mal
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Mal. you won't believe how much fun it can be till you try it. I have to warn you, it can be addictive. Scratch building the little things seems to have the greatest satisfaction. Right now I'm trying to figure out what to build next.
Dr. Cranky Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Man, this is a wonderful scene. Great details, and even better it makes for a wonderful photo op for models! Congrats.
old-hermit Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Nice build Gramps. I like the bikes. Looks like an old Triumph board tracker in the rear.
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Man, this is a wonderful scene. Great details, and even better it makes for a wonderful photo op for models! Congrats. I thought that' was why I would build it, but then I found out there wasn't enough room in front for a backdrop so I just now finished adding a larger base to gain room for photoing models. Tryin to match up what I did was a bit of a challenge but I think I got it. I'll find out today or at least this week.
