StevenGuthmiller Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 A good friend of mine put this photo on their Face Book page for their 30th wedding anniversary today. They used my now long gone '58 Cadillac 62 series coupe for their "get away car" at their wedding. I really miss that car. Steve
Harry P. Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 Wow! If I ever owned a car like that I'd miss it too!
Erik Smith Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 My wife had a Chevette like the one across the street. She doesn't really miss that.Kind of scary, actually, at how old that picture looks...The Cadillac looks like a fantastic cruiser.
Erik Smith Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 That's not a Chevette, it's a Citation.No way Harry! 1981 Chevette..Citation didn't have the side trim that high...both fantastic GM tries though.
Carmak Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Reminds me a bit of my wife's car. We have had it for 18 years. I can see how you would miss that 58. We had a 58 Coupe before we got the 57. There is a 58 Coupe with a similar color combo in a junk yard in Burlington, IA. Craig

disabled modeler Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Cool story and photo.... I miss my old 75 Trans Am I once owned badly...maybe someday I can find a model or promo to make a replica of her to have..? It had a .30 over sized 400ci Pontiac with a 472 lift 512 duration cam,ram air heads and exhaust manifolds, balanced engine assembly...ran super strong.Id also love to find ones to make replicas of the ones the family had owned over the years...75 TA64 Bonneville/Safari wagon68,69,70 Bonneville HTs69,70,71 Grand Prix69,71 Impalaearly 70s Dodge window van and factory custom vanmid 70s Dodge van motor home70,71 Mercury Cyclone GT74 AMX71? Rider Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 That's not a Chevette, it's a Citation. It's a Chevette.Love those big ol Caddys
PARTSMARTY Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 I worked for gm for about thirty years-mainly chevy and owned a citation. That is definitely a Chevette.
om617 Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 It sure is a beautiful machine, also one of my favorites next to the 60 and 61. I had this in mind when i bought a 58 Fleetwood promo, but i`m having a hard time cut into it since it`s more or less mint. Actually prefer this style rear end over the the Eldorado Seville,it`s like the Seville lack somthing.
