FrozenPlastik49 Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Hello all! I'm a long time modeler that faded away from the hobby in my 20s after first getting started around the age of 6 or 7. Gave away my multitude of kits and parts boxes to a nephew but got them back (mostly untouched) after I relocated to Alaska (from FL no less!). Now in my late 40s, I return to the hobby renewed with loads more patience. I now only take on one project at a time instead of 5 or 6 and actually see each one through to completion (always been the great starter of projects but seem to lose steam along the way through frustration or Murphy's Law). I gain a ton of inspiration from the 'On the Workbench' and 'Under Glass' forums. I mostly stick to 1/24 sports or classic cars and rarely leave anything box stock. My first foray back was a quick diecast conversion of Motormax's Ford Explorer Police SUV into a primered street cruiser (I own the 1:1 Ford Explorer Sport and was trying to build something similar...wish one of the kit manufacturers would bite the bullet and offer this in plastic!). My second project was finishing Tamiya's Citreon 2CV that I had bought my wife to her to build many years ago. A few photos of both are attached. I have gone off the deep end with my latest project, attempting to build the love child of the lowly Porsche 914 and the outrageous Porsche 918 Spyder. I will start a separate post for this one in 'On the Workbench.' Glad to be back at it! Fred
