69 shelby gt 500 Street Machine

 I started this build over the holidays. Nothing too fancy basically a box stock build. I did snitch the hood scoop from the AMT 72 nova kit. The wheels and tires are from the parts bin.

 

Here is the car that inspired my build.

i started painting the chassis

 

more of the chassis, it's kinda grimy looking, still needs a few items yet

 

 

 

i like using testors one coat laquers

 

 

I'll paint under the hood black before it's finished

i thought a black hood would be too boring so i put a stripe on it

 

so far i'm pleased with this build

I like the paint color. Very nice chassis detail. This has seen a few miles it looks like.

messed up my hood with a rookie mistake

 

repainting my hood and under the hood today

looks pretty good

 

time to let it dry then do some detailing
