my80malibu Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I have a bagged kit of a Revell 53 Chevy. It has only the straight axle included all other steering parts are gone. What would be a better suggestion for a replacement IFS front suspension?
Casey Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 (edited) The 1/25 Revell '53/'54 Chevy kit did have the IFS parts in most versions, so if you can get ahold of that part (and maybe the crossmember, too, if needed) you'd be on Easy Street. You can see the underside of the lower A-arms in the attached image, just to the left of the Y (V?)-shaped tow bar. Edited January 30, 2017 by Casey
CometMan Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Gabriel, you could try the suspension from the AMT '51 Chevy. They are very similar cars, that kit is readily available.
1930fordpickup Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 If you are going for a street rod just whatever fits under the body. Maybe a NASCAR frontend. They are still cheap normally.
