426-Hemi Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 lmao literally laughed out loud. That's a pain in the rear. I'll take a peek next time I'm at wally world. My store definitely had it last I knew. A little goes a real long way too. It's not too expensive either. Probably around 5 or 6 bucks.. I'll shoot you a message.Sounds good let me know!
426-Hemi Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Just go to the area with the cleaning supplies, it is just vinyl and tile floor finisher, here's what it looks like: I guess I'm not surprised that people don't know where it is, most probably wouldn't have used it at all since it seems to have gone by the wayside to keep your floors coated. Jordan, I know what it looks like, all the stores I listed do not have it, and to ask them if they can order it in was what I was referring too, they didn't even know what I was talking about. which is sad, years ago, I remember seeing it for sale (before I got back into model cars & truck building) so..... And for them to "order it" they have to know what they're looking for and sadly trying to go through a computer list of products in the floor care part of the store website didn't list anything but "polish" no protective coatings at all!!!! not even a good wax! (I was a buildings tradesmen and we always used good coatings on wood floors and even some tile had wax applied to it!!!!
Jordan White Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Just go to the website of the store of your choice and find it. The Walmart site shows you whether its in stock and you can search by location.
Plastic_Passion Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 (edited) coming along... little mock up. Edited February 14, 2017 by Plastic_Passion

Plastic_Passion Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 Gotta love that "limit".....yeah and my pphone won't take a pic smaller than 4kb
426-Hemi Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Yeah, you use your phone to do the messages too or just for taking the pics? As if you use a computer to put them on the forums MS Paint, can and will lower the size of the file!

As if you use a computer to put them on the forums MS Paint, can and will lower the size of the files Yeah I use my phone for pretty much everything. I have a laptop and use IrfanView software for editing, but it runs windows 7 home premium and my note 5 doesn't communicate with it unless I do it through bluetooth. It'll charge my phone fine. They just don't like each other. I opened a photobucket account but it's not very mobile friendly. The more I try to use it the more I hate it.
426-Hemi Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Yepper thats why I LEFT photobucket! When I first joined them a year after they were founded (2004), and back then there was no "limits" and then they started charging for "premium"-like accounts, which mine was if not premium, for what the account was like then. Then the limit thing started, and thats when I went looking for a better pic "host"...... I'm using Pinterest now as a host! ALL the builds of mine on here now, every picture is hosted by Pinterest.....

My gf is on pinterest but not me.... yet....
Plastic_Passion Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 That moment you start applying decals and they suck so you go a different route and start masking, and go to straighten out the masking tape just to tear up a layer of paint with it.... luckily I'm not the younger me... I'd have a lot of extra parts for the parts bin... needless to say the VTS will not have stripes.... stupid paint....
Plastic_Passion Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 Disaster averted. Saved by my girlfriend! The ram will in fact have stripes. They'll be vinyl instead. Just like the viper does. Now I just need a trailer to put the gts behind the vts...
426-Hemi Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 That sucked at first man! (I haven't had that happen in awhile) but that sucks! GREAT G/F man to come and save that one! PHEWWWWWQuestion your G/F does vinyl stripping yes? -See your PMS!
Plastic_Passion Posted February 18, 2017 Author Posted February 18, 2017 Got a few of the stripes started. Decided to go silver like I did with the gts. I had painted the viper like sunshine yellow and put it away because I absolutely hated what I had done with it. Then when I came back to the hobby I decided I had to redo the God awful paint I had laid down on it. I ended up going "de ja blue" but didn't have the stripes decals. So I had my girlfriend cut me some of these silver vinyl stripes.... now I'm doing them on the viper truck too... they're a bit tricky on the ends but I'll get the down. Just gotta make sure they're straight. Feel like I shouldn't have glued in the grills till after I striped.... we'll see...
426-Hemi Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Cut it on the line where the parts go together maybe? (I think if you had waited it might have made the part not fit right) due to the thickness of the vinyl tape.....? Looks good otherwise tho!
Plastic_Passion Posted February 19, 2017 Author Posted February 19, 2017 Yeah it's got a slight thickness to it. Just enough.... the ends are a bit tricky to keep down. The viper is the same way in the grill... I'm thinking a little spray adhesive or something. Still have to experiment.
426-Hemi Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Interesting! Its a difficult "call" on the ends to keep them "down" on the plastic, plus, you have to be careful not to ruin the surrounding paint as well.... OR worse, soften the plastic that its going to stick too, because of the glue or spray adhesive used! Hmmmm
Plastic_Passion Posted March 3, 2017 Author Posted March 3, 2017 (edited) I eventually persuade them with some model glue Edited March 3, 2017 by Plastic_Passion
