Model Carnage Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Hi gang: got a 1970 promo with a bad A-pillar. Am pretty sure i can fix the A-pillar but matching the paint is a no-go.Anybody got any tips for finishing the edge of a vinyl top on the quarter panel of an already-painted promo? It's supposed to have a stainless finish trim piece along the edge of the vinyl.
Snake45 Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 What kind of car? This might make a difference, believe it or not.
espo Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 The moldings used on the 1:1 cars are usually very small. This can be a good thing since you can use very small diameter Plastruct. They offer half and quarter round and even some flat pieces. Being very small diameter they are easy to bend as needed and a dash of their Plastic Weld usually is all that is needed to hold them in place.
