gator52 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) I'm working on a stock version of this kit...dry fitting seems to show a conflict between the front splash pan and the frame. If I'm looking at this correctly, the frame needs to be trimmed back (essentially removing the forward-most cross member) so that the front bumper, grill, and splash pan will all line up correctly with the body. The directions don't mention needing to make any cuts for stock vs custom, etc. Wanted to check here before I start hacking away. Thanks Jonah Edited February 11, 2017 by gator52
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 I have several issues of that kit here. I'll have a look this evening...if nobody beats me to it earlier.

Thanks JonahI've built that kit back-in-the- day and I don't recall any problems with it at all, especially any trimming.
espo Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I have built several of these kits and have not had a fitment problem. The front splash pan should fit cleanly between the front fenders. This part will support the bottom edge of the grill and will cover a portion of the radiator just like the 1:1. If mounted correctly the frame then mounts under the splash pan. While basic in many areas this is really a great kit.
gator52 Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 Thanks for the info, I see how it fits together now. Glad I asked before I got out the saw! Jonah
