You guys probably already know about these.  I saw them last night on TV, and if they really work, they could change EVERYTHING.  One of the things I really hate about growing older is that my once excellent vision has been steadily diminishing.  I used to be able to see the bumps in the lines and swirls of my finger prints ... but now it's all fuzzy.  So they got me into trifocals, which are OK ... but it's just not as good as I used to see.  Also, I race on sims.  Even my trifocals are a bad compromise for doing that.

anyoldways ... Eyeglasses that you can change the focus of ... and each eye is adjusted independently of the other.

Has anybody tried them yet?  I'm doing a bit of research on the 'net, and will probably be ordering a set.  I'll share the results when I see them ... or see out of them!

FosterGrant made some cheaters along those lines - three different grades. I tried them, but was spending too much time nodding up and down to focus on things. Thinking about acquiring a set of these: https://www.amazon.com/Magnifier-Jewelry-Eyewear-Miniature-Magnifying/dp/B06WP9F3HJ/ref=sr_1_4?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1488993660&sr=1-4&keywords=adjustable+focus+glasses

Those look like the gag glasses that the old boy on one of the Burger or Pizza TV commercial ware.

I have had to use glasses for several years now. I also had excellent vision as a young man. I now use Varilux lenses and the gradual change in the lens really isn't that noticeable. When I first got glasses is when I suddenly remembered trees have individual leafs on them.
