Anyone see Danica get bumped into the wall on pit row by the rookie driver Ryan Briscoe?

Did you see her walking towards his pit area after the hit? She looked like she was ready to slug the guy! Track security guys had to stop her and take her back to her own pit. I wonder just exactly what she would have done if she actually had gotten to the guy? Can you imagine being the first Indy driver to get beaten up by a girl??? :D

As she told the TV reporter, "It's probably best that I didn't get to him"...

Great stuff! She brings a little interest and spark into what had become sort of a "same old, same old" event. Go Danica, go!

We talked about that in another post.

As I said, she is bringing emotion back to motorsports.

She would have rip his head off without scratching the helmet.

Her eyes were melting her helmet spitting out laser fire.

Roger Penske told Briscoe: "Get your visor down".

In the awards banquet last night, Briscoe thanked Charles, the security guy :)

Darth Vader himself would be proud of her marching down the pits. No wait,

Move over Darth Vader! There is a new Imperial march benchmark....

Boy I want that video...

Thanks,

Briscoe made a rookie mistake, but he isn't no rookie. He is denying any and all responsibility for the incident saying, "our cars have brakes, and there was plenty of room to get around me."

Thats the way I like my ladies! I sure was hoping she would grab him and beat the *$@!~^%! out of that guy in front of the whole country! Yup, that security guy was a brave man!

Come on guys if it was a guy, hed be the biggest jerk around. kind of how people feel about the Bush brothers in Nascar. Danica needs to grow into the "racecar" driver she thinks she is. Everytime something bad happens she throws a tizzy as do some of the guys also. Grow up, accept accidents in the sport. God forbid anyone makes a mistake in Danicas world. Boy, I long for the days of Dale SR. I raced for years and you know what "%#@* happens" I guess I'm saying is if she really buckled down and stayed away from the freak nonsence and soap operas Nascar and some other motor sports have become maybe more good would come to her. We raced for years on dirt and just accepted others mistakes. I'm sure I made more than my share of bonehead mistakes in racing

Except for one thing Randy, Briscoe's rear tires were still making smoke when he hit Danica's car two lanes over......he was all out of shape.......and steering into his slide.....

I'm getting just a little bit tired of the Danika soap opera. Sure she is cute and sexy, but she is just another driver. She is in a never lose situation. Had she gotten to the guys' pit, what would have happened? If she took a swing, what could he do? Take it and look like a wimp in front of TV? Or drop her on her cute little butt and look like a monster? It's time for her to grow up. Stop the complaining and drive.

Well, you guys know how it is these days...The Indy car series has been quite boring over the last few years and now they throw in a few gals to stir it up which so far, seems to be working and theres always a few guys that don't think girls belong in the sport of car racing and getting beaten by a girl is a wee bit too much for some to handle! Theres always going to be a few 'jerks' to test them and see how far they can push them.

Just look at the history of women trying to race in Nascar to see where this goes. A lot of hard lessons were learned.

Danica has just as much right to be there as anybody else does and as far as I'am concern, she is a better driver than most of the guys and once she gets her head out of the clouds and gets down to the nitty gritty of racing, she will do just fine. For now tho, Indy car racing needs the exposure and $$$ Danica & others brings to the sport to stay alive.

It takes guts to be talking to your crew chief while driving 220 mph and telling him the car wouldn't go faster! That radio would be the last thing I would thought to mess with while driving that fast!

A columnist in one of the papers here this morning suggestis that Danica has "anger management issues"...

Well, if it had been me, and I was running in the biggest race of my year, and some rookie driver makes a boneheaded move and wrecks my car through his own negligence and/or bad driving...

I guess I'd have "anger management issues" too!

Good Lord!!!!

She is so over rated,if she was a man she would be just another field-filler!!!

It is easy to be feisty when you know that no is going to lay a finger on you...

She really isn't all that cute, did you see that face????

She could haunt a house!

I don't think it's so much that she's "over rated"...nobody is saying that she's the second coming of A.J. Foyt or anything.

But she gets more attention than the other guys because she's one of the very few women who competes in a male-dominated sport. Obviously she "stands out" from the crowd and draws attention from the media and from race fans because she's different than 99% of all the other drivers.

Can you imagine all the attention the first few female major-league baseball players would get? Or the first woman NASCAR driver? Being "different" than the rest of the people in your field is always going to draw attention, regardless of how good (or bad) you are at it.

Let me start by saying that I'm a fan of Danica. I really am.

And if you watch the replays of the incident, you'll see that EVERYTHING Briscoe says is complete BS. Danica was in the faster line, and she even moved over what little she could to try to avoid him. If there had been more room, she would have even missed getting taken out by his stupidity. While she was in the car, she couldn't have handled herself any better.

And then, she joined the ranks of stupid as soon as she got out of the car. Tony Stewart got blasted in the media for doing the same sort of thing. Why is it bad when he did it, but OK when she does?

There's NOTHING brave in her for confronting a male driver. Ever. If she confronts a male driver, it's a no-lose situation for her. Either male driver backs away and looks like a wimp, or male driver knocks her on her butt and looks like a monster. She wins either way.

And, let's not forget exactly how dangerous her little third grade act really was. She was stalking down an ACTIVE pit lane, under a yellow flag no less, with her back to any potential oncoming traffic. She could have gotten herself or someone else injured or killed with her little temper tantrum.

She was wronged twice during that race, and the second time was entirely self-inflicted. I still am a fan, but I lost a lot of respect. A much better way of handling it would have been to call out the stupidity of the other driver ( and not mince words) when she had a bunch of microphones in front of her face.

Why do I say good for her for what she did, cause she did exactly what many a driver has done over the years, after some idiot pulled a stupid stunt..... I know alot of the Male Drivers/Owners are jerks to her, cause she is a female trying to compete in a male dominated sport.... So she was supposed to be a Good Little Girl and Put up with that idiot move, why cause if she was a Guy, then the playing field was even, and the other driver could fight back..... Who's to say that she would have even gone beyond pushing the guy around, or yelling at him??? Who's to say that if the roles were reversed, that he wouldn't have done the same to her???

I say Good for her for atleast making the walk, which no doubt put the idiot on his toes, and maybe help to get him to drive like he is supposed to(if not, maybe a Team Mate of hers would make the walk next time, and give him an adjustment for his learning curve) B) ....

Do I agree with violence being a solution, no but when you and others are doing 200+ Mph's with your Heads Sticking up, it's an understandable reaction.... When Driving at the speeds, one had better quickly knock off the kiddy stunts, or you can easily Seriously Injure/Kill Someone(Heck even being a Fan in the Stands becomes more Dangerous with an Idiot on the field)....

My thoughts exactly!

Agree there too, I'm kinda surprised that Earnhardt Sr. only killed himself with that type of driving!

That's a pretty low and disgusting response.

Well, it is in a way, but the way I see it is is how he DROVE, beating and banging into other drivers, sometimes spinning them out just to get by, things like that.
