Brizio Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I bought this kit few last year while visiting Germany. In this town there was a nice hobby store, with a lot of stuff... Couldn't resist... One of my dog found it... So is time to build it... The kit is pretty much a snap kit, it goes together without glue. In the box there are decals for different kit of this company, and the decals are real decals, not water slide. That the bad part about this kit. Except that is a pretty nice kit, with nice molded parts and almost none flashing.
Brizio Posted March 30, 2017 Author Posted March 30, 2017 Time to build it... I found some picture of a MB truck from the 80's with the same set up, so I will paint cab etc green, and red crane. Under chassis. Trailer front axle. Trailer rear axle. Interior After some color, posters and some accessories. Crane... The crane is completely movable. Here the crane painted and finished.
bigred63 Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Hello Fabrizio, I remember building this kit in the 80's. It was my first kits, that I built from the Kibri company. Every so often, the brings out this model, but in different colors. I like the details you put on the logging crane. I will be following your build. Ronnie

This is my first time with this company, I had experience with Roco, Herpa, Viking etc. Another good thing about his kit is that has a lot of moving parts! Very impressive for the scale.
mecklm Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Love the hydraulic lines on the crane. They look really small diameter. Do you mind mentioning what you used for them?

Hi Fabrizio, while going thru may stash of models, I came across Kibri kit# 12250. This kit comes with a 5th wheel, frame, crane, and an adjustable 2 axle trailer. You have to supply the truck your self. I have built Roco, Herpa, Viking, and the other makers! I like Herpa models/Promotex. One of the best truck kits, that where available, was from Preiser, The detail was unbelievable. I hope you enjoy your 1st Kibri kit. Ronnie
gatorincebu Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 Fabrizio, You seem to be doing a good job on the small model. And it is looking good. Be Well Gator

Ronnie I saw that kit, and also they sell the back of the truck and trailer (like the one on this kit) so you can put it on a different truck. Agree with you about Preiser, they also do figure in 1/24. Little expensive, but the detail are great. Mostly cars/truck I have are Herpa and Roco, good quality/price. I also have some Eko, they are like toys compared with the others. The wheels are the same for all the cars, and not so much details. like Viking. Fabrizio, You seem to be doing a good job on the small model. And it is looking good. Be Well Gator Thank you Marc!
