Another awesome build!

I'm somewhat puzzled by the title "1948 Ford Convertible Club Coupe"...in my mind, a club coupe is a steel top.

Well, that is Ford for a convertible with a back seat in 1946/1948. It's how the car was refereed to on brochures.

What would actually be a Club Coupe, Ford called Sedan Coupe. The Revell Police Coupe kit, is not just a coupe, it's a Sedan Coupe according to FoMoCo. So is the old IMC kit.

Good Old FoMoCo!  Playin' fast and loose with the automotive terminology to everlasting confusion of succeeding generations of car enthusiasts everywhere!

Beautiful build, Tulio, particularly that interior!  This kit sure looks right from every angle.

I hadn't seen this until it popped back up at the top of the forum. The finish is astounding, and the subject matter is perfect for such treatment. I'll be back to look at this again.

Drop dead gorgeous. And that interior is the icing on a beautiful cake. Tell us how you did the wood grain dash and door tops.

I'm terrible at painting wood. There are several complicated techniques to do so, and I never could get something acceptable. So I decided to cheat, and paint it the easy way. Just painted the dash and door tops with Testors enamel tan, close to the tone I wanted the final product and let dry. Then I added one drop of dark tan acrylic to 15 drops of Testors acrylic clear. The wood effect just resulted of using a somewhat hard brush to apply the dark tan diluted in clear to the parts. It took about 5 minutes to do.
