Tapani Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 (edited) would the much better revel/mono '40 ford be a donor for the zephyr ??? Absolutely not. Ford was a little (and cheap) car compared to Lincoln, The two shared no parts. (well, perhaps stuff like spark plugs... ) I made the whole thing as trans kit for Monogram Continental, and to complete the model you will need almost everything from that kit, chassis, axles, interior, especially engine, a V12 not V8, chrome... Besides, the Zephyr is in 1/24, not 1/25. If you saw these two models side by side you would get it immediately. Better yet, very many Monogram Continentals have broken windshield posts, so you will not be sorry to waste the body! Edited May 25, 2017 by Tapani Images added.
Tapani Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Thank you for these very clear explanations Tapani. As I have an unbuilt Continental kit, perhaps I will buy the Zephyr body if available.Another question : wich car is it on the left of the second picture (dark red roadster) ?PhilX, you already know it by now from my e-mail reply, but if someone else is interested, it is a Fiat 508 Balilla Sport.
stevez Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 thanks for info, wish revell would re issue the continental. Sounds like there is no other choice for donor kit. your kit looks Great !
