Thanks for the comments! I know its a senstive subject these days but I don't go shy when something needs to be said about it. All that PC ###### is for wimps and if folks can't stand the heat, then they best just shutup huh?

I have black friends and I treat them just like my other friends whatever color they may be and many of them understand whats going on out 'there' and don't agree with it. I judge a person by their actions, not by the color of their skin, education, money, skills or whatever. I can't for the life of me understand why certain groups of people feel the need to open old wounds, say stuff that upsets others and they do know what they are doing too. Just think how much better off everybody would be if we could get together and solve problems in the schools, communitys, states?

But from the looks of things, thats never going to happen and someday, something will have to give..

When Obama's preacher started running his mouth, it was back to square one for those folks and I for one, is ###### sure not going to vote for him cause of that no matter what Obama said & done about it afterwards. The fact that language like that is still being used today tells me a lot about the state of things in this country.

Theres lots of good people out there no matter the color or where they are from...the Mex farm workers ( theres thousands in my area) do work hard and I admire & respect that and sure theres a few bad apples just like in all other kinds of folks but they don't sit on their butts complaining and hoping to get something free cause they are too lazy to work hard for something. Some of these certain folks and some white folks too! could learn quite a few good lessons from the Mex farm workers!

'Enuff said. :D

The rest of the world thinks us Rednecks, Crackers and whatever else they call us are bad people and I even hear they teach that in dem 'scools these days too. Course we know what goes on in dem public 'scools today with dem teachers rewriting the civil war which explains why dem kids hate us so much.

My folks ( we are railroad people) moved to south fla in the early '20s ( from GA) and moved to north fla later and back then, there lots of dem wooden cracker houses and even my G'ma owned one when I was a kid. Back then that was good living and everybody helped each other and was always polite even to strangers from out of town and we always had food on the table but not always had money..nobody went hungry fo sho! Life was hard no doubt but there was always plenty of work to do. We took care of our people and even policed them..those that stepped out line got themselves a good whopping and if that didn't work, you never saw them again!

Theres still plenty of us around today and we are doing well and we still care about others, always have food on the tables even for strangers. Always plenty of fresh biscuits, homemade jam, bacon, grits, fry chicken & taters with peach & blueberry pies!

We can't no longer watch over all the people and theres always those 'fake' rednecks making things harder and spoiling it all for everybody by waving rebel & nazi flags acting like they are real southern people which they are not..folks like are dime a dozen and easy to spot & smell miles away!

For some odd reason, certain groups of people think we owned slaves and that we shall be punished for it...truth be told, no southern people actually 'owned' slaves..it was less than 7% of the poeple living in the south that 'owned' slaves and that 7% was foreigners as in nonsoutherns! That how the slave trade started in the first place.

No decent Irish/Southern people would even think to "own" a person and we did our own farm work..history shows that if some of y'all could be bother to take the time to read all about it..forget the internet, its full of BS! Even those Southerns who were not Irish didn't have slaves either.

And yet, 'certain groups' blame us....I don't have the best education in the world but I can read & write and I do know my history as well. I spend all my life working hard for what I have now and nobody is going to take that away from me or the other Southern people.

I don't like it one bit when people try to change history to justify their action$ and no thanks to old dishonest Abe for throwing in the first lie about Southern people cause nothing has been the same since. I'll cut this story short for now.

There, now I said my piece!

Just found this on another forum, kinda fits here

WOW!!! THIS GUY IS SPOT ON!!! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN TRYING TO SAY FOR SOOO LONG!!!! ANYONE WHO THINKS LIKE A LIBERAL ON THIS SUBJECT SHOULD JUST GIVE IN TO THE GOVERNMENT NOW AND LET US HAVE OUR FREEDOM!!! F!@$ BUSH!!!

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

-THOMAS JEFFERSON

HERE'S SOME REALLY STRONG WORDS:

Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government.

-THOMAS JEFFERSON

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

-SECOND AMENDMENT

Basically what this means is that if WE THE PEOPLE fell that our rights are being taken away we have the right and OBLIGATION to defend our freedoms!

I remember a time we went to GOOD OL' 'TUCKY for a family reunion when I was like 9 and my lil' brother was 4 and we went to a Waffle 'n' Steak and they didn't have biscuits and gravy and my brother and I cried until Dad said we could go somewhere that has biscuits and gravy. Its tradition that on fathers day that Dads dont have to cook the biscuits and gravy. But my ol' lady cant cook it as good as I can so I still cook it. ;)

When I was in Charlotte (Concord actually) for the big race, I was in hog heaven. Grits, biscuits n gravy, sausage, all could be had at the Waffle House. They don't have that in Wisconsin. If I ever get rich, I'm buying a Waffle House franchise.

Gawd! You guys don't need to be eating at wifflehouse! That stuff will kill ya with that grease! Its nothing like good ol' southern food! Shoney's and Denny's serves great stuff and if you ever see a all breakfast buffet at Shoney's, do stop and enjoy it! Dang!, thats great stuff! :D

Oh an don't fergit tha peach cobbler an milk or better yet cream......

Oh an one other thang, thet dang guy in tha White house is a phoney Sutherner.....they is Yankee carpetbaggers from Massachoosetts.

Bet yall didn't know what thet family's Motto is: Bush-Bones Doctrine: "Deny Everything" "There's three things to remember: claim everything, explain nothing, deny everything." - Senator Prescott Bush (Skull & Bones 1917) The Bush family patriarch made the above statement in a 1966 interview for Columbia University’s oral history project on the Eisenhower administration. Prescott Bush said that political dictum had been explained to him by Claire Boothe Luce, congresswoman, ambassador and wife of Time-Life media magnate Henry Luce (Skull & Bones 1920).

Sen P. Bush is George W's Grand-daddy, tha Texass oil conection comes from a marriage of convienence. P. Bush's wife was a daughter of George Herbert Walker...a Texass oil scumbag...... and a bigger gang of crooks yu'll nevah find....they come from a long line of War Profiteers.

Now Zeb, Is that the same P. Bush that was money laundering for the Nazis in '42? His kin have continued the proud family tradition of power and money over the interests of the American people. GHW with the Iranians, and Kuwaitis, and Shrub with the Saudis. The last refuge of a scoundrel is patriotism.

So sorry about that, George! Zeb and I get carried away sometimes. You may have noticed that.

I am not much into southern food until you hit the Mexican border. I love most foods from Mexico. I also love most Barbeque from the US south. MMMMM! MMMMMMM! :D:lol:

Gucci purses? In Tucson, it's fairly normal to find yourself in the grocery check-out behind your typical soccer mom. Full cart, two kids, 45 on her hip . . .

When I moved to TN, I was told that it's perfectly ok to carry a gun, but that it's bad manners to let it show. Dang, and I wanted to go to Walmart with a .44 mag in a holster, but my wife wouldn't let me. B) And you sure won't find any Gucci purses around here. On the other hand, the store down the street sells very nice green and yellow John Deere purses. :)

Hey Olle! Sparta Tennessee? Home of my very favorite Blue Grass singer, Lester Flatt. I shot the picture they used on the cover of one of the two biographies on him. Even got my Sigma all dolled up with one of those big pick guards like his. I KNOW all those guys in the posts above were talking about MARTHA WHITE biscuits!
