Ron Hamilton Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 So the Cordoba/300 what kit would you use for the chassis? The 75 Roadrunner? AMT '71 Charger R/T.
restoman Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Yep, '71 Charger for the donor.But... the Charger rear end is an 8 3/4" which was not available in the Cordoba/300 B body. I found a 9.25" corporate rear that will do the trick, but the 8.25" rear was the most common. I'm not aware of such an animal in any kit, so the 9.25 will have to do...I also found the windshield from the Charger is just a bit too small, so I'll be making a copy with a clear plastic bottle and a heat gun. Hopefully, it's a bit bigger.
High octane Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 I have the '69 300 Hardtop, and I can say, everything fits very well with just a little cleanup. It looks to me that the AMT '71 Charger Kit will get you most everything to finish it off. You're on your own with the chrome for the bumpers. The rare 'recall" wheels are alumnum, and should be finished accordingly.I love the "Air Trax" kits in my collection.I'll get around to building them someday. On the list the Chrysler 300 is listed as a 4-dr. but your photos show it as a 2-dr. I'm assuming that this is a typo?
