AMT 1/16 Cobra- Has anyone made a kit to make it better?

I have an AMT 1/16 Cobra and I want to build it, but, the wheels and some engine parts really bother me on how they look. So, has anyone ever made some wheels or parts to correct this kit?

Check out Ron's stuff on Shapeways, He's got some Shelby stuff and some other 1/16 scale stuff. Maybe he can scale up what you're looking for.
