Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 I like everything about this Fairlane, especially the wheels and stance.
Lizz62 Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 That thing looks like white lightning!! Like a Rocket!!! Love the wheels and color . Love it all, very Boss
RestoModGuy Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 So nice! Looks awesome, great work on this build
olschoolkid Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 That is an awesome looking Fairlane. I myself have the same kit and I'm thinking about building a pro touring style build with it. This has given me a few ideas for my potential build.
665@213 Posted June 27, 2017 Author Posted June 27, 2017 Thanks everyone for the comments! I know that its not everyone's cup of tea, but I like this style of build. Its different, and I have a hard time trying to build something straight out of the box Lol. There are parts from 7 different kits in this Fairlane, and the resin steel wheels from Casey. Here are the 2 cars that were my inspiration for this build. I love the look of both of these Fairlanes, so there's a little of both. Bobby Alloway built the 67 and Dean's hot rod shop did the 66.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 The car looks very clean and nicely done. Don't like the wheels tough. Needs a bit of foil on the windshield columns.
thatz4u Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Thank you! The valve covers were dechromed and sprayed with Testors fabric gray lacquer. I wanted a raw, unfinished cast look.where did you find testors fabric grey? I looked at HL, not there
665@213 Posted June 30, 2017 Author Posted June 30, 2017 (edited) I got the Testors fabric gray at Hobbytown USA.where did you find testors fabric grey? I looked at HL, not there I got the Testors fabric gray at Hobbytown USA. Edited June 30, 2017 by 665@213
darthsideous Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 I like the subtle exterior with the red interior. Nice detail and very nice engine. Nice job.
