Greg Myers
With my eyes going to old age (70 this year) These are looking more appealing all the time. Along with that "Bull Horn" and what Minicraft has to offer, some great kit bashing in a larger scale. RAT-T
MORE TRADITIONAL WHEELS & TIRES IN 1/16 WOULD BE GREAT
Jantrix
These are straight out of the 80's styling fad. Small block Chevy, IFS and coil overs in the back. Billet style wheels and the interior was what you'd expect from an 80's hot rod. It's basically the same as the Monogram '37 Fords in a larger scale.I've no idea what it would cost to retool to make them more traditional, but I doubt it would be worth the expenditure. CapSat 6
Didn't they rerelease the Phaeton once in the 90's? These were really nice kits. Even with the 80's styling cues, I think they're great builds. It might be just a bit easier to update the Coupe with some parts swapping. The recent AMT 64-1/2 Mustang could lend you a Ford engine for these kits...but then you'd be left with a Small Block Chevy powered Mustang! :(
