Monty Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 (edited) I'm curious if anyone has tried adapting the front frame/suspension from the AMT '65 Galaxie to the Cougar chassis. Edited August 26, 2017 by Monty
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 If your kit tooling is the same as 38206, nothing could be easier. This Cougar kit has what is essentially pose-able steering to start with. The ends of the upper and lower control arms already have holes in them, and the front brake backing plates have spindle tabs that snap into the holes. Just twist to the "steering" position you want...though you may have to do some easy work to get a tie-rod setup to tie them together if you want that feature. It's a whole jell of a lot easier than trying to transplant the suspension from a '65 Galaxie.
