Car Crazy 81 Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Heres My 50 Ford I Been Tinkering With. She Still Needs Some Work Its Being Built 50's Style So Im Making Sure That Every Part On This Beauty Is Period Correct. I Used Some Pieces From A Revell 49 Merc Such As: The Caddy Engine, Front & Rear Axles, & The Floor Pan. The Reason I Used The Mercs Floor Pan Instead Of The Kits Pan Is To Clear The Caddys Transmission. Also Im Using The Cadillac Wheels From The Merc. The Future Plans Are : Either A Satin Paint Job Or Candy Paint Still Deciding Im Going For What Kind Of Paint Scheme Was Used In The 50's, Tuck N Roll Interior, Lowered Stance.
sdrodder Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 great work. For paint this is my idea a kandy green or kandy red. For interior go with a white tuck and roll. Great work
randyc Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 great work. For paint this is my idea a kandy green or kandy red. For interior go with a white tuck and roll. Great work Here's one I did last year. Hard to beat that kit for kustom stuff. Some of the parts on mine came from the 49 Ford, tires are from the 57 Chrysler, flippers from the 50 ford p/up (?). PE window cranks and door handles, leopard print decals on seats. Kinda pimpy and over the top, but aren't Kustoms supposed to be? Randy
FordRodnKustom Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I like where your going with this one. Nothing better than a period shoe box Ford Kustom! Roll on.

Heres Some Progress On My 50 Ford Its Not Much Progress I Had To Do Some Mods To The 49 Mercs Crossmember So The Front End Can Sit Low Plus I Had To Modify The Caddys Oil Pan.
Car Crazy 81 Posted March 25, 2009 Author Posted March 25, 2009 Im finally getting this sled finished after being on the shelf collecting dust since June of last year the reason why im finishing it so it can be entered in a model contest on saturday so im on a tight schedule. The paint is gonna be in primer for the time being with leapard print interior.
Jantrix Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 What's up with the rear suspension and the lack there-of? Is this gonna be a curbside?
Car Crazy 81 Posted December 23, 2009 Author Posted December 23, 2009 This project had an unfournate accident back in March of 2009 thank goodness the body was still in great shape the only thing that needed replacement was the windshield frame. The kits frame was toast so i'd came up with an idea by using a Revell 49 Merc frame, floor pan & interior it required a lot of cutting & trimming to fit this beast.
