Hi,

Wondering if theirs a way to detach the chrome pieces without leaving that unchrome finish at the tabs?

I'm a newbie..be nice lol

No, but you can use something like a Molotow liquid chrome pen to touch in the areas if they'll be visible when fitted.

Alternatively, you can completely strip the kit chrome easily with this method below and redo it more realisitically with something like Alclad.

Motolow liquid chrome pens 1mm should do it..

Personally, I would go with the Molotow pen.

No sense in stripping perfectly good chrome unless it's necessary.

I just put BMF where you removed the chrome from the tree that is what I mean
