Brendan Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Just finished up the Revell kit. Started building it during Le Mans. Screwed up the paint job twice. Decals are from Speedline (Strada Sports). Pretty much box stock. Did add some wing mounts that I made out of aluminum. The paint is Cobra Colors. Feel free to comment.
ismaelg Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Beautiful job Brendan! My favorite race car, my favorite driver and my favorite scheme. Love it! I hope mine turns out half as good as yours! Thanks,
JHDrew Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Nice work as always. I like clean builds. What's next?
Raul_Perez Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Another great build, Brendan!! I hope you bring it to the next Milt's NNL!!
crispy Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 I have to agree with everyone else here. Your patience paid off and you came out with a really nice clean build. Looks great! Chris
robertw Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Go Ron Go ! ..........oops I mean Brendan. A nice job of a very special race car. I ordered the decals as soon as I heard they were being produced but haven't started on the kit yet. I'd welcome this model on my shelf any day, well done. RobW
Brendan Posted June 19, 2008 Author Posted June 19, 2008 Thanks for the comments. As for what's next, still working on 6 Toyota GTP's. I'll get those finished as soon as I get my paint and supplies from Japan...ordered several months ago. And if I stop screwing up on the bodies. Ismael, check your references for decaling the car. The instructions for the Sebring version of the decals was telling me to put some decals on that were not run on the car during the race. Don't know about the car #33 version. Raul, as for Milt's NNL...unless it's the weekend of the race at Laguna Seca (Oct.), don't count me in.
Nick F40 Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Well, thank you sir.....I like that it's not yellow! Very great detail and fantastic model, I adore your skills and craftsmanship.. Hey Ismael guess what color I'm doing mine?
