dougwintz Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Aoshima makes a few McLarens and they look pretty cool. Anyone out there build one? Couple of questions - do they come with an engine? Is there a difference between the 1997 and 1998 model years - do they have the same parts, just different livery? Have you used aftermarket etch and carbon fiber from Scale Motorsports? Would they fit BOTH the 97 and 98 model years? (Ok, I'm done now). Thanks.
Jhedir6 Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 YEP..easy answer. Same car, same parts. SMS stuff fits good so does the Studio 27 decals. There's also decals from Tabu and HD detail sets/wheels lots of options. You can definitely go overboard.

T-bone Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 This is a great kit. I'm working on it right now. So far everything fits perfectly. SMS just has carbon decals for the exterior. Studio 27 carbon covers the interior and engine compartment and a few other parts like the headlight buckets. The Hobby Design upgrades are amazing.
Quick GMC Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 I have the longtail with Hobby Design brake and wheel set, and their PE detail set. Makes for a pretty intricate build.
