Super28 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Well, #6, a 1969 Shelby Mustang, is cleaned and put up on the shelf. Once again it was built in the 80s or 90s so detail not great ,but a fun build. Sport mirrors on the doors have inserts to look like actual glass.
vamach1 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 I am guessing if you build another one you would paint the underside and engine compartment. The outside an color is pretty good. For some reason I painted one maroon which does not stand out like bright yellow does.

I believe I have an unbuilt 69 Shelby. Yup, #71 is a Shelby mustang. Will try to do some good detailing on it. Learning from ya'll on this site on how to do good detailing.
vamach1 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 This is one of my older builds that came out better than some of my more recent ones. It is the Mini Exotics body, not the more recent kit.
Super28 Posted October 5, 2017 Author Posted October 5, 2017 Nice build. You find every time you build one you always think, "I could've done better"?
vamach1 Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 (edited) Another engine and interior picture. I would use the chrome pen now instead of bare metal foil. Edited October 6, 2017 by vamach1 Pics
Super28 Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 Another engine and interior picture. I would use the chrome pen now instead of bare metal foil. Wow! Nice job. Did the decals under hood come with the kit or is there some place I can them? The one on the battery, fan shroud and breather really make the great job you did "pop". really nice detailing all around. Next one I build I'll do more detailing on it.
vamach1 Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 Hard to remember that long ago but I am guessing either Freddy Cady deals or ones I used from other Mustangg kits.
