Pontiacfieroguy Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 I sprayed some Walmart brand flat black paint Into a small plastic container so I could use it with a brush and after a few hours it melted the container into the paint and turned it into a rubbery black sludge that makes a great underbody coating. Use a brush you don't care about because it ruined my new brush.
Pontiacfieroguy Posted November 21, 2017 Author Posted November 21, 2017 i couldn't get it to show well on my model but here is a picture of the rubbery mess it left on my table. It left my brush covered in something similar to flex seal.
Modelbuilder Mark Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Very interesting, might be hard to work with. Looks like it could be used in small controlled areas like creating shifter boots, or rubber seals around joints.
crazyjim Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 (edited) I use Rustoleum texture paint for undercoating. Comes in 4 or 5 colors. Looks really good to me doing the chassis when there's separate frame rails. Edited November 23, 2017 by crazyjim
