El Roberto Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 I've been lurking for about a month or so and decided to join the board. So...here I am. I like to build older cars, hot rods, stuff from the 30s, 40s, and 50s etc. as well as muscle cars usually in 24th scale.
Russell C Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Welcome. I was raised in Tijeras, I remember when Edgewood was hardly nothing more than an empty gas station along with a few other disused buildings.

Edgewood has it's first "high rise", a 4 story Comfort Inn, a Wal-Mart , Dennys, and a stop light. The traffic is horrible, I had to wait for three cars to pass before I could get off my street.
crazyjim Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Welcome Robert. Looking forward to seeing your builds.
#1 model citizen Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Welcome Robert. I too spent a lot of time growing up in Albuquerque - 5th grade thru high school. Even did a semester @ UNM. My sister still lives in Santa Fe. My grand dad & dad were both born in NM. as well. I did a lot of model building there and kinda wish I was still building there. Its a beautiful part of the world.
Dieselhead Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 Didn't expect to see so many builders from here on this forum. Very cool! ABQ myself.

My Mom & Dad retired there. I visited there many times when they were alive. Their ashes are now scattered in the mountains outside of Santa Fe.
PARTSMARTY Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Welcome my friend-this is a great site to be on.
