That is a hoot. Cats will definitely do the unexpected.

The most unexpected thing a cat did was my moms cat who adopted my parents. She was very small. One day two other cats were in the yard and a larger male was giving a smaller male a bad time. Without warning she sprang off the porch railing and hit the the side of the larger cat with all 4 feet. I would never have believed it if I hadn't been there to see it.

My "14 year old kitten"  walks around taking and crying . He picks-up his toys in his mouth like a mum would pick-up her kittens : talking to them , cleaning them , and hiding them . He's done this since we adopted him some 14 years ago (when he was 8 months old) , and he has no signs of "retiring" from his kitten-type antics .
