highway Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 After almost 10 years of life getting in the way or having over complicated builds that seen to never get finished, I sat down at the bench with help from being off work due to a shoulder injury and actually finished some builds this year. The 1984 Civic and the 2002 Civic Type R were fresh builds from the stash and the 2009 Challenger was one started many years ago that finally got to see the finish line. I did find that some of my skills need sharpening after so many years of building when I can but not finishing projects, because most of the finishing touches like trim, decals, and windows are by far NOT my best work, but actually finishing these three and having the spare time at the bench thanks to my shoulder injury and surgery that I'm still recovering from has at least resulted in me spending more time at the work bench.
bobthehobbyguy Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Nice group. And yes the more you can complete helps build final assembly and finishing skills.
donb Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Nice job on the card. Hope your injury heals hood too.
bbowser Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Any time at the bench is good, IMO. Takes your mind off whatever else is going on in life. Keep them coming.
