64 Thunderbird Permatex Sportsman

I like to build realistic, plausible race cars and make up stories about them, some times. If I am in the wrong, place, please let me know.

Here's the story: Several automotively  inclined fellas from Indiana decide they want to go down to Florida and try their hand at NASCAR. The Permatex Sportsman series, to be specific. They acquire a discarded Holman Moody chassis, find a 64 junkyard T_Bird, buy a 427 Ford motor, and get the a body shop and a full service garage to sponsor and help out. Small time budget, but skilled and determined to make this happen. Here is the result.

Ok I fabbed my own "half chassis, with the T Bird center plat form, an AMT Nascar front clip, and a leaf spring rear and frame rails out of a Chrysler kit car.

The fabbed chassis is on the bottom and on the right. The othe chassis is the "before"
