Harpo Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 (edited) Test, trying to stop automatic zoom... Actual pic is 1000 wide, displays in post at 1432, looks fuzzy. Click on pic, it displays at 1135 wide, still too large... Doesn't matter if you click "insert into post" or not, they get inserted regardless. Picture sizing Edited February 6, 2018 by Harpo
Russell C Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 Don't know what PCs have for photo size manipulation, but on my ol' iMac, I open up a photo in the Apple Preview program, adjust its contrast from my overly dark-taking digi camera, and then I size it down to 4.5" inches across at a resolution of 150. Your photo was nearly 14" across at a resolution of 72 when I downloaded it. Looks like this now after all the above alteration:
Harpo Posted February 7, 2018 Author Posted February 7, 2018 Ok, that worked. Can't say why for sure but 9" wide at 72dpi is the same as your 4.5" at 150. Yes, I'm fussy - but huge zooms are like looking through a microscope, and not an accurate depiction of the model!

moparfarmer Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 I shoot my pictures from my wife's Iphone 7S..Email them to myself full size..Seems to work for me..
Pete J. Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 I resize all my photos to 6" with 100 dpi resolution. This seems to give a good photo for most applications. I use Photoshop but Microsoft photo editor(depending on which version of windows your running) is free and will do this without any issues that I'm aware of.
Harpo Posted March 6, 2018 Author Posted March 6, 2018 I've been editing the same post to test pics, and it made a duplicate every time lol. Mod pls delete as needed.
