Moon Pie
Got my next project off and running. It's a 60s style '55 Chevy Street Rod. I found this pic and just loved the look and stance, had a spare '55, so I decided to build it. It's going to have a 327 with a duel carb high rise coming through the hood. The 327 will be donated by AMT's '66 Nova kit, and the big and little Cragars Super Sport wheels will be donated by AMT's '68 Camaro kit. I am not going to run the headers behind the front wheels like in the picture, however. I've got her off to a good start: The paint is Testors Model Master White and Boyd's Smoothster Yellow. It laid down beautifully considering the heat and humity. This was the first time I have ever used Tamiya masking tape, and it looks like I've found a new friend! MrObsessive
Phil, the paint job looks good to my view! Good job on the rear wheel radii also! Were the lines scored underneath or did you freehand that? Yup, I will only use Tamiya Tape for any separation of colors now..........Never have had any trouble with it! Thanks for the comments, guys! Edited July 17, 2008 by Moon Pie
