iamsuperdan Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 (edited) So this one only took me 13 years to complete. Back in 2005 I bought my first new vehicle, a 2005 Jeep TJ Sport. That went in the garage next to the 1993 XJ Sport. At that point, I got really into Jeeps, and picked up this Revell CJ7 kit. Started it, then with the demands of kids and the yardwork that goes along with a new house, it went into the pile of things I just don;t have time for. Dragged it back out recently, determined to finish it. It's builtbox stock. The only addition is the antenna, which is a D'Addario .017 gauge guitar string. Paint is Duplicolour Torreador Red, a GM truck colour. It's strange, around thw wheel wells, the paint lifted a little with the Tamiya tape I used to mask the wheel arches. I did my usual prep and primer, first time I've had a paint issue like that. I chose to leave it instead of touch it up. Overall i'm pretty happy with the paint on this. The plate is a reference to Sisters of Mercy. Check them out on Spotify. Could do with some detailing on the wheels, and in looking at the pics, I realized I forgot to paint the marker lights. Not my best work, but I'm calling it done and sticking it on the shelf. Kit went together okay. The hardtop doesn't fit at all, and getting the doors, body, and windshield to line up was a chore, so I just didn't. If I was building it again, I'd add more interior detail. Seatbelts, a stereo, etc. Edited February 10, 2018 by iamsuperdan
FredRPG Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 I agree nice build. I'm curious about the sci-fi like backdrop you use in your pictures, what is it?

I'm using two of the Hangar 01 kits and the LED kit.
