Getting into the scratch build portion of this build. It's going to get a lot uglier before it looks pretty. I'm surprised that they didn't include a coolant reservoir but I found some parts in the junkyard that will work just fine.

I guess that 20 year old decals don't work that good anymore. I tried to put on the carbon fiber for the intake and as soon as they loosened up enough to slide they disintegrated. Does anyone have a line on some good carbon fiber decals??

Scale motorsport Dan. It is what I used on my build of this car......slightly modified. ;)

It is on here if you want to check it out.

I have seen your's. You did a great job on it. I was going to put a roof on mine but I hate to be a copy cat. I also wanted to try to do some interior detailing. The other 4 models that I've done have really focused on the paint job. I wanted to try to do something out of my comfort zone.

Opening doors is way the heck out of my comfort zone. LoL

Getting a little bit of work done on the coolant reservoir. I found some aluminum wire that is going to be great for the heater hose and small coolant lines.

Just picked up this kit myself, yours is looking GREAT!!!

Thanks. I've been watching your Pagani it's looking awesome. Seeing some of the things you are doing has made me up my game. You might want to check your Shelby to make sure that all the parts are there. My kit was missing the glass. I had to buy a second kit. Let me know if you need some spare parts I might have them.

looking so good!

I had to have this model when it came out, I have almost no desire to build it now, weird!!

We have a Shelby convention here every year, the year they came out, one was at the drags, it sounded so cool.

After what I like to refer to as the decal debacle. I ordered some decals from scale Motorsports and finally got this thing looking the way it's supposed to. I think that it probably would have laid down better if I had used a more aggressive decals setting liquid but I think that this will be ok.

I am taking so long to complete this build. I got the coolant reservoir done and the seats painted. The seats don't quite have the luster of leather I'm going to do some experiments to see if I can get the look I want. Maybe just some armorall??

One thing that posting on this site does for me, when I post something tlhen go back  to look at it the next day and realize that it looks like poo. I am going to dip that coolant reservoir and repaint it. When am I going to learn that the airbrush is my friend.

Making progress . I have some spot putty going on. I wish I would have done it before it got hot even with hardly any hardener it kicks in about 3 minutes.

For your seats "luster" Dan. Try some of the natural oils that are on your nose or forehead....sounds weird but works. Build is looking real nice.

What if you have dry skin, or wash a lot?.....this sounds nasty
