Jim B Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 The engine in the AMT GMC General kit is a Detroit Diesel 8V92N. This article should help you in plumbing the engine: https://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/model_magazine_articles/car_modeller/cm07_may_1991_detro/ As for the air brakes, this one should help with that: https://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/model_magazine_articles/car_modeller/cm03_sept_1990_truc/ These articles are very helpful: https://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/model_magazine_articles/car_modeller/ Good luck with your project. This "might" help withy some additional detailing: https://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truck_brochures/gmc/gmc_general/

John Pol Posted March 12, 2018 Author Posted March 12, 2018 could someone tell me what would the best to use for the brake lines
highway Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 22 hours ago, John Pol said: could someone tell me what would the best to use for the brake lines Since they are not "lines" like in a hydraulic car brake system but rather brake hoses to supply air to the brakes, they are just black rubber hoses on the 1:1s. You could use anything from thin black coated wire to anything that replicate a heater hose in a car build.
