Mike Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 (edited) I was in a slump and the wife went downstairs and picked this one out for me. She's loved Jaguars since the Sting "Brand New Day" video came out a few years ago. A little vintage performance was what was needed for sure. Quite a pleasurable little build. I opened the trunk (my second attempt ever) and wired/plumbed the engine bay. Standard green with "bisquit" interior. Edited July 15, 2008 by Mike
CAL Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 That's cool. That is good to hear that it was a pleasurable build. I have one myself to build, and I will be needing a new build here shortly as my 993 is near completion.
JHDrew Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Hey Mike, Nice build. I have always liked that car too. I did one recently myself. Thanks for sharing,
Zoom Zoom Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Looks just right Perfect color combo for the XK-120. I've got both an unbuilt metal-body Monogram and a newish plastic Revell AG version; aside from the material they seem pretty much identical. I assume the Aoshima XK-120 is the same kit. Now that I have two, someday I'll build one stock and one as a vintage racer. One of the most gorgeous cars ever mass-produced.
Raul_Perez Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Wow!!! Both of those Jags are beee-yoo-tiful! I'll second that!!
Mike Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 Thank you for the compliments guys. Jim - the racing version you built is awesome. John - the kit is the Revell Germany kit.

Jaguar did have some gorgeous cars.
Nick F40 Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Wow, those are a nice pair, I love them both! I just love British Racing Green especially on a British car. Isn't this one of the most exquisite and gorgeous engineering marvels and from Jaguar? Man, what the heck happened?
FactoryStock54 Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 Beautiful! The XK-120 is one of my all-time favorite cars!
